JOB DESCRIPTION: TriStaff is partnering with a successful medical company that is growing globally and acquiring complimentary product lines. To ensure a seamless bridge between these product lines, our client is adding 3 new positions for Sr. Software Quality Testers. They will focus on meeting marketing requirements, as well as ensuring the quality of the systems to meet FDA and ISO 9001 regulatory requirements for sales in the US and internationally.
Their enterprise product includes multiple safety features, data security, data tracking, Windows UI and backend SQL applications, wireless features, and business intelligence. Your focus will be testing the backend database functionalities. My client’s business focus is providing complete solutions that integrate seamlessly into hospital systems to provide 100% reliability. Their executive leadership and great customer support have attracted increased sales. Their corporate culture emphasizes close harmony between Engineering, QA, Manufacturing, and Marketing through a commitment to iterative, agile development.
In this role, you will design tests for blackbox testing, as well as implement them across a suite of applications that comprise the enterprise system.
- You will apply software quality concepts throughout the software development cycle (SDLC)
- You will utilize existing test tools for blackbox testing.
- You will test the product through the eyes of the end user to ensure usability issues.
- You will create your own test scripts and test cases, as well as execute them. You will interact with the automation team to utilize their tools.
- You will take ownership for certain aspects of the system, but participate in the overall functionality of the suites that comprise the enterprise system from backend database (SQL Server) to networking (TCP/IP issues and Vitualization VMware for desktops.
- This position would be attractive to a Software QA engineer who enjoys working on high profile projects that involve the entire test process down to ensuring that the system will perform in a Client-Server Windows test lab environment (including switches, hubs, routers, server settings etc.).
- This would be a chance to leverage your client/server experience to a SaaS hosted solution, because that’s the direction they are moving toward.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have 3-4 years experience with blackbox testing experience throughout the entire SDLC process.
- Must have written tests (coding & scripting) for medium size projects.
- Must have analytical skills in analyzing requirements for complex systems that are FDA regulated.
- Must have client/server experience, including testing relational database (SQL Server) applications for Windows-based systems.
- Must know how to set up necessary test lab environment for Windows Server configuration and installation.
- Must have wireless testing experience (Virtualization VMWare)
- Must have ability to work in a team environment.
- Plusses would be whitebox testing, networking, interaction with test automation.
- Must have degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Local candidates only.

The Software QA Engineer will have a thorough understanding and practical experience with N-Tier application architectures, agile development methodologies, ASP.NET, IIS, and SQL Server database tools.
