To chart a long-range plan that will:

• Recruit those in the software industry who support quality as a goal for software
• Promote identification and dissemination of quality attributes for software
• Support revision and refinement of identifiable quality attributes for software

Professional Development

To promote the enthusiasm, knowledge, and skills necessary to achieve continuous professional growth and development in the area of quality software by:

• Disseminating information and providing education and training opportunities to software professionals
• Offering conferences, training and educational courses
• Contributing through Grants-in-Aid or Scholarships to the educational expenses of selected individuals studying in qualifying software related disciplines

Membership

To build and retain membership by:

• Demonstrating leadership in quality software initiatives and practices\Understanding the needs and expectations of current and potential members
• Recognizing noteworthy accomplishments of current members
• Developing new member sources
• Increasing membership each year
• Planning and implementing annual membership programs

Communications

To effectively communicate quality software principles, concepts and technologies to all levels of the software development community.

Standards

To participate in the development, review, distribution and use of industry standards and guidelines that promote the development of quality software.
