Topic

Lean Six Sigma - Basics and Applications
Ric Van Der Linden

During this 1 hour session, the basics of Lean Six Sigma will be taught. Lean removes waste and Six Sigma reduces variation. We will learn how to integrate both, resulting in a sustaining continuous improvement approach. Though it is important to understand the application of the tools, we will also look at creating an ongoing driving force, how to create momentum and how to sustain the efforts as a key aspect of the business. Examples will be provided showing how to create and sustain continuous improvement efforts with Lean and Six Sigma.

A Lean/Six Sigma simulation game will be played allowing demonstration and understanding of the tools. And, we will be discussing the financial impact of Lean Six Sigma.
